Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram seem, by all accounts, to be down with web-based media USERS venting the matter out on Twitter. Since 4 PM today (October fourth, 2021) I have been attempting to send messages on WhatsApp all without any result.
Regularly, I thought this was only a WhatsApp issue and afterward, I headed toward Instagram however the case was something similar. While I can see my transfers, I was unable to revive the feed.
FACEBOOK, WHATSAPP, AND INSTAGRAM ARE DOWN – WHEN WILL THE ISSUE BE RESOLVED
On Facebook’s page, they simply left a message saying “Sorry. Something went wrong. We’re working on it and we’ll get it fixed as soon as we can.”
Down Detector also reported that Facebook was down, while another site that monitors a site’s online status said that users had reported problems with Instagram.
Both Instagram and WhatsApp are owned by Facebook, which has come under scrutiny in the US senate over its policies.
So far we have not seen announcements about the status of the three social media platforms on their official Twitter pages.
WhatsApp statement
In a statement, WhatsApp acknowledges that its service is down:
We’re aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We’re working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible.
Facebook statement
Facebook’s Andy Stone:
We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
Twitter anyway is overwhelmed with grumblings on the matter, and it gives off an impression of being a worldwide blackout.
There is conviction however that all will be well by Tomorrow yet what would we be able to do work then, at that point. Nothing, we simply need to sit and pause.
